OUR STREET STOCK RULES
THESE ARE WHAT WE THINK THEY SHOULD BE

1. all North American made steel bodied passenger cars from 1969 and newer with a minimum 106 inch wheel base. No convertibles, trucks or station wagons allowed.
2. Car body and overall appearance must retain all stock dimensions. Altered body lines will be significant reason for disqualification. The body may not be lowered on the frame. The body must be mounted in the original factory stock location. Frame must remain stock from front to rear. Rusted out rear clips may be reinforced from rear end back. Unibody cars may tie subframes together with straight ties only. Windshield pillars and windshield angle must remain stock.
3. All glass must be removed. Windshield must be replaced with full screening. (1 inch square maximum).
4. Car must remain stock firewall unless fire wall is rotted out completely and stock floor boards in original locations. Rust holes must be patched. Rear firewall must be completely closed off from trunk with 18 gauge steel. No aluminum allowed.
5. Battery must be mounted in engine compartment.
6. Fuel tank must be located in trunk area. No stock location tanks allowed. No sloppy installations allowed. No aluminum tanks allowed. Fuel cells are highly recommended. Fuel line from trunk to engine must be one continuous line. Trunk must have to be opened to refuel.
7. All doors must be welded or bolted shut.
8. All cars must run stock bumpers mounted at 19 inches center from level ground. All bumpers must be rolled in and securely fastened in place. Bumper shock brackets must be welded and have a chain welded to the rollbars for protection
9. A minimum six point roll cage with approved driver protection is mandatory - 3 horizontal bars minimum on driver's side. Roll cages must be welded directly to frame. Roll Cages must be constructed of 1 1/2 “ o.d., 1/8” wall thickness seamless steel tubing. If O.D. is no less than 1 3/4” - wall thickness of .095” will be allowed. No extra bracing on outside of car allowed.
10. One shock absorber per wheel, mounted in stock location allowed. Stock mounting shocks only. Shock value not to exceed CDN each.
11. Mandatory three inch wide safety belt and shoulder harness with two belts over the shoulder and of the quick release type. Submarine strap mandatory. All belts must be securely fastened to the frame or roll cage. It is mandatory that all drivers wear a Snell 1990 approved helmet minimum. Firesuits, fireproof gloves, and approved . Also mandatory in 2001 - Neck Collars.
12. An Aluminum racing seat is mandatory. Seat must be securely fastened to the roll cage and or frame. No fiberglass seats allowed. No floor board installations allowed. The seat must be positioned completely to the left of the center line of the car. A high top seat or padded roll bar headrest is mandatory. All bars and sharp contact areas around driver must be padded.
13. All cars should be neatly painted and carry numbers at least 20 inches on both sides of doors, roof and rear deck.
14. Locked rear ends allowed. Rear end must be of make and model of car used. Racing wheel studs highly
15. Maximum tire size P235 with 8 inch tread. DOT Numbers and tire size stampings must be in plain view. No Snow tires or retreads allowed.
16. Racing type wheels are allowed. Steel only with stock offsets only - 3” minimum but 4” is recommended. Maximum 8 inch width. Rally type production wheel on right front is highly recommended. Wheel studs must be 1/2” minimum with extra large lug nuts recommended.
17. Ribbon style window nets are mandatory on driver's side of car.
18. Weight rule: 2900 lbs. with driver after race.
19. Only stock production automatic three speed transmission allowed. No alterations. All gears must be in working order. All cars must have a stock unaltered V8 torque converter.
20. ***If a driver is determined to be over-competitive, in the best interests of the division – the following year he/she must either move up to another division or sit out entire following season.***
21. All drivers must be DIRT Members.
22. All drivers winning two feature events will be subject to automatic technical inspection. Speedway will determine extent of inspection.
23. RUB RAILS – One rub rail allowed on each side and must be 1” by 2” rectangular tubing mounted tight to door panel only. Must have ends beveled.
2001 STREET STOCK ENGINE RULES
ENGINE RULES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF STOCK EXHAUST MANIFOLD IN PLACE OF HEADERS.
NO MIXING OF EITHER SET ALLOWED.
The following are the Street Stock Engine Rules:
1. ONLY A BASIC CLEANCUP DONE TO THE MOTOR
2. Stock unaltered engine and transmission combination must be within chassis as a factory item, including all engine accessories except air filters, valve covers and oil pan.
3. One V8 engine only. All engine blocks must be standard production block and have stock external and
internal measurements except for maximum .030 overbore.
4. Chevrolet engines up to 350 c.i. with .030 overbore allowed. All other engine makes no cubic inch limit.
5. Engine must be in stock location and stock crank height.
6. Maximum 1 stock unaltered 2 barrel carburetor. 1 3/8 inch venturi size maximum allowed and up to 1 11/16 inch throttle plate.
7. Stock cast iron intake and exhaust manifolds must be used (unaltered) - no center dump manifolds.
8. All engines must use cast, stock type OEM flat top pistons with four eyebrows and full skirt. Stock OEM production rods, crank and block.
9. Cylinder heads, intake manifolds, (2 barrel only) and exhaust manifolds must be unaltered - stock production cast iron. No porting, polishing or grinding. No work below valve seats. No Chevrolet angle plug heads. Minimum 70 c.c. heads allowed. OEM stock valves only maximum 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust.
10. Any hydraulic cam shaft may be used. Maximum lift is .390 intake and .410 exhaust (at the valve). Hydraulic valve lifters must be used. No roller cams, roller lifters or tappets allowed.
11. Maximum compression ratio is 9:1. Compression will be checked with the pre-check gauge. Heads listed are illegal in street stock division - 492, 461, 291, 462, 290, 186, 441, 041, 460, 520, 370, 126, or any heads of this style. These are deemed to be high performance.
12. Radiators must be brass and copper type. No Aluminum. No Anti-freeze.
